Adventure Holidays to the Valley of Gods – Manali & Trek to Kheerganga

I am Angad and, along with my three college mates Raj, Tripti, and Shruti, we finally made our long-awaited trip to Himachal Pradesh. After years of planning through college, we decided this journey would be our parting gift. We aimed for a mix of adventure and nature and chose Bharat Booking Holidays to organize our holiday.

Planning Our Trip

Our travel date was set for 6th June from Delhi to Manali. I contacted Ms. Tanuja at Bharat Booking Holidays, who was insightful and ensured all our requirements were covered—including rafting, trekking, and paragliding, plus a trek to Kheerganga. Within half an hour, I received the detailed trip package via email, and the excitement truly began!

On the 5th, the four of us bought our essentials at Connaught Place. By evening, we got our cab details and packed up for our adventure. Despite the girls packing more than the boys, we were all prepared, eager, and unable to contain our excitement.

The Journey Begins

Our cab and the courteous driver, Mr. Ranbir, arrived at 6 a.m. With frequent stops for food and photos—aloo ka parathas at Murthal and rajma chawal at Bilaspur—we enjoyed every moment. By evening, we reached our hotel, The Manali Valley Resorts, and were awestruck by the glittering valley views. A delicious dinner and a stroll in the garden capped off our first day.

Day 2: Solang Valley and Old Manali

The day started with breakfast and a drive to the picturesque Solang Valley, famous for adventure activities. We tried zorbing, quad biking, and a gondola ride—maggi and chai at a hilltop eatery being a must. Tripti took endless photographs. Afterwards, we visited Old Manali, soaked in the tranquillity near the Manalsu River, and enjoyed live music and local cuisine at a riverside café.

Day 3: Paragliding and White Water Rafting

Guided by Ms. Tanuja and Mr. Ranbir, we went paragliding in the morning—an unforgettable thrill against the mountain backdrop. Later came white water rafting, with instructions and safety briefings from our pilot. The experience of navigating the river rapids left us all exhilarated! That evening we shopped along Manali’s Mall Road, bought souvenirs, and cherished stories over dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: From Manali to Tosh – The Kheerganga Trek

After checking out from Manali, we travelled to Tosh in the Parvati Valley, stopping at Kasol for camp essentials. Our guide briefed us before the trek to Kheerganga. The trail was lush and scenic, with waterfalls and soothing forest sounds. Reaching Kheerganga by evening, we relaxed in the natural hot springs, enjoyed a tent stay, dinner by the fire, and slept under the stars.

Day 5: Sunrise, Meadows, and Kasol

The morning revealed the mountains bathed in sunlight. After a short meadow hike, breakfast, and one last look around Kheerganga, we trekked back to Tosh and then Kasol for our final night in the Himalayas. That evening, we enjoyed a karaoke session at a café, sang our hearts out, and reminisced about old times, pledging to travel together every year.

Heading Back to Delhi

An early breakfast, quick goodbyes, and our return journey began. Back in Delhi by evening, we thanked Mr. Ranbir, our wonderful driver and guide, as our memorable adventure concluded.

Always carry a bag for personal garbage, wherever you travel.

The Most important part is to keep you hydrated, be it after a party or those long walks on the beach. Water is must, so carry a bottle that can be refilled.
