Package Start From Paro Paro
We will receive you at the Paro International Airport and drive you to the pre-booked hotel for check-in. After the formalities, we will visit “Fortress on a Heap of Jewels”, or its true name Rinchenpung Dzong. This monastery and fortress have great significance in Buddhism due to presence of 14 Shrines and Chapels and its important role in defending Paro valley from Tibet invasion. Next place to visit will be Kyichu Temple. This temple dates back to the 7th century and the statues of Guru Chenrezig, Guru Rinpoche & Jowo Jampa accompanied with striking valley views makes it one of the “must see” attraction in Paro valley. Return to hotel for over- night stay.
After delicious breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Thimphu. on the way we will cover Simtokha Dzong. The name Semtokha literally means “Atop a Demon” and the legend associated with it is that it was built in order to subdue an evil spirit that was harassing travelers. Upon reaching the destination, check in into the hotel. Evening free to stroll around the town. Overnight stay in hotel.
After breakfast we will start the day with Motithang Takin Preserve, a perfect place to spot National Animal of Bhutan which is Takin. Another place to cover will be Tashichho Dzong, A major landmark comprising of Prime Government Offices, Multiple Chapels and outstretched gardens. Afterwards we will take insight knowledge of Bhutan’s culture and heritage at National Folk Heritage Museum. Our last sightseeing of the day will be Crafts Bazaar. This site is ideal for buying traditional artifacts and souvenirs for your family and friends. Later drive back to hotel for overnight stay. Note: Motithang Takin Preserve is closed on every Monday.
Today after breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we will drive towards Punakha. On the way we will visit Simtokha Dzong. Afterwards we stopover at The Dochula Pass which is a popular location among tourists as it offers a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain range. Moving on we arrive at Wangdue Phodrang. It is one of the largest Dzongkhags in Bhutan sitting on top of a high ridge, chosen for its amazing views of the valleys below. Finally we arrive at Punakha, the old Capital of Bhutan from 1637 to 1907. Arrival at hotel for check-in and overnight stay.
After a relaxing night and a healthy breakfast we will visit The Punakha Dzong, built near the confluence to two rivers in the year 1637. This structure has burnt to the ground several times, yet it remains one of the most beautiful ones, even after all its repairs. One has to see to believe how majestic it is. Next after a small hike we will visit Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, a temple built for the prosperity and peace of the world in complete Buddhist Style. It’s a paradise for people who love to click pictures. Afterwards you will be dropped and are free to explore this place on your own. Rafting can be an option. (At your own cost).
After being in the hustle bustle of the cities that Bhutan has to offer, we check-out from the hotel and proceed towards the quaint and serene, Phobjikha Valley, through breathtaking views of the valley and gushing streams below. Enroute We will take a halt at The Gangtey Monastery - Considered the ‘Jewel of this Valley’. The peacefulness of the place is only broken by the sweet sound of Monks doing their daily chores. Once in the courtyard and then inside, you will understand the name Jewel attached to it. Afterwards we check-in into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Today after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive back to Paro. We will take the same routes back to Paro while once again passing through Wangdue Phodrang, Dochula & Semtokha. Upon reaching paro, take a check-in into the hotel and enjoy a comfortable night stay.
Today we will witness one of man-made wonders of the World, “The Tiger Nest”. After the check-in formalities we drive and hike towards Taktsang Monastery (also known as Tiger’s Nest). Nestled atop of a cliff at a height of 3120 m, This Monastery is the most visited attraction in Bhutan. The legend is that Buddhist Guru Padmasambhava rode a Flying Tigress to this location and meditated in a cave, which later was turned into a monastery. The location and sacredness that this monastery offers will surely create lifetime worth of memories in your heart & mind. After another mesmerizing day we return to the hotel for overnight stay.
After a delicious breakfast we check-out and head back to paro international airport for your onwards journey with memories of a lifetime or could definitely come back again with us on this beautiful journey to create new ones.
