Package Start From Paro Paro
We will receive you at the Paro International Airport and drive you towards Thimphu, capital of Bhutan. Arrive & transfer to the hotel. Explore the places on your own and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
After breakfast we will start the day with Motithang Takin Preserve, a perfect place to spot National Animal of Bhutan which is Takin. Another place to cover will be Tashichho Dzong, A major landmark comprising of Prime Government Offices, Multiple Chapels and outstretched gardens. Afterwards we will take insight knowledge of Bhutan’s culture and heritage at National Folk Heritage Museum. Our last sightseeing of the day will be Crafts Bazaar. This site is ideal for buying traditional artifacts and souvenirs for your family and friends. Later drive back to hotel for overnight stay. Note: Motithang Takin Preserve is closed on every Monday.
After breakfast, proceed for a long yet scenic drive to Bumthang. We will pass through two of the major passes of the country namely Duchula & Yutong-la. Bumthang is considered as the most prominent dzongkhag in Bhutan as it hosts maximum number of ancient & pilgrim sites. Upon reaching Bumthang, check into the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in hotel.
This day will be dedicated to the monasteries of Bumthang. Our tour will start off with Jambey Lhakhang, one of the major monasteries out of 108 which were built by Tibetan King in one day to tame a residing ogress. Next pilgrim site will be Kurje Lhakhang where Guru Rinpoche meditated. It consists of three temples and surrounded by 108 Chorten Wall. Jakar Dzong, the administrative center of Bumthang will be another site to cover. The sacred circuit will be incomplete without covering Tamshing Lhakhang and Lhodrak Kharchhu Monastery. After the sightseeing take a stroll in the market and take a peek into the local lifestyle. Overnight stay in hotel.
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed towards the quaint and serene, Phobjikha Valley, through breathtaking views of the valley and gushing streams below. We will make our way through Yutong-la pass which is marked by flags and a stupa to stop by. Continue your journey to PHOBJIKHA hotel and take a check-in. Overnight stay at booked accommodation.
After an appetizing meal, check out from the hotel and drive towards Punakha. Enroute We will take a halt at The Gangtey Monastery - Considered the ‘Jewel of this Valley’. The peacefulness of the place is only broken by the sweet sound of Monks doing their daily chores. Once in the courtyard and then inside, you will understand the name Jewel attached to it. Afterwards we check-in into the hotel for an overnight stay.
After a relaxing night and a healthy breakfast we will visit The Punakha Dzong, built near the confluence to two rivers in the year 1637. This structure has burnt to the ground several times, yet it remains one of the most beautiful ones, even after all its repairs. One has to see to believe how majestic it is. Next after a small hike we will visit Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, a temple built for the prosperity and peace of the world in complete Buddhist Style. It’s a paradise for people who love to click pictures. Afterwards you will be dropped and are free to explore this place on your own. Rafting can be an option. (At your own cost).
Today after breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we will drive towards Paro. On the way we will stop at the marvelous Wangdue Phodrang. It is one of the largest Dzongkhags in Bhutan sitting on top of a high ridge. Our way will continue through Dochula Pass which is a popular location among tourists as it offers a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain range. Moving on we arrive at Simtokha Dzong. The name Semtokha literally means “Atop a Demon” and the legend associated with it is that it was built in order to subdue an evil spirit that was harassing travelers. Finally, we will reach our last spot of the day, Paro. Arrival at hotel for check-in and overnight stay
Today we will witness one of man-made wonders of the World, “The Tiger Nest”. After the check-in formalities we drive and hike towards Taktsang Monastery (also known as Tiger’s Nest). Nestled atop of a cliff at a height of 3120 m, This Monastery is the most visited attraction in Bhutan. The legend is that Buddhist Guru Padmasambhava rode a Flying Tigress to this location and meditated in a cave, which later was turned into a monastery. The location and sacredness that this monastery offers will surely create lifetime worth of memories in your heart & mind. After another mesmerizing day we return to the hotel for overnight stay.
After a delicious breakfast we check-out and head back to paro international airport for your onwards journey with memories of a lifetime or could definitely come back again with us on this beautiful journey to create new ones.
